<p>Key Task:</p>
<p>To design and prepare for publication an agreed list of covers and specified internals. The role will involve designing internals, covers, stationary and gifting packs which is very exciting!</p>
<p>Department: Cookery &amp; Adult non fiction</p>
<p>Principle Accountabilities:</p>
<p>•    Undertake all the design tasks on covers and internal layouts, plus photo or illustration briefs where required.<br />
•    Ensure sales material and Material to Repro (MTR) is delivered on time and to a high standard, and to help ensure that MTR deadlines and quality control targets are met.<br />
•    Keep production controllers up to date with schedule changes and late MTR.<br />
•    Create and adapt covers to suit markets around the world.<br />
•    Communicate any training, IT and other development needs you require.<br />
•    Be creatively inspired and involved in company and external initiatives and events.<br />
•    Prepare for and attend team meetings.<br />
•    Contribute ideas for new and/or improved processes and team development.<br />
•    Manage and monitor your individual project schedules.<br />
•    Establish and maintain an awareness of the cookery book, adult reference book and gift market.<br />
•    Propose new format ideas and innovative content.<br />
•    Design compelling front and back covers and packaging that sell the benefits of the book.<br />
•    Propose innovative ways to repackage and reconfigure existing content.<br />
•    Ensure all content is subject appropriate.</p>
<p>The right candidate:<br />
You’ll have around 2 years design experience, ideally within book publishing; however we are also very interested to hear from magazine designers. You’ll have an interest/experience in working with photos and typography in particular. You’ll be very confident and happy to work in a fast paced environment.  You may also have experience of stationary and packaging design also.</p>

<p>You’ll need an outstanding portfolio to showcase your skill set and a CV to match. You’ll be looking for a full time, permanent role where you can add value and grow with the team. Based in Bath, you’ll work from their central offices and occasionally travel to London and other areas in the UK to meet with clients. You’ll love to be involved in the creative process, taking part in brainstorming meetings and keeping ahead of the game with modern web technology.</p>

Working mainly within the pharmaceutical and technology industries, most of their clients are global blue chip companies.</p>
<p>Reporting to the Head of Design and Senior Designer, you’ll produce creative and functional artwork for marketing materials, documentation, presentations, user interfaces and large scale exhibitions and will also help maintain the company’s website. Many of your designs will be used across multiple platforms.</p>
<p>Additionally, you’ll liaise with printers and suppliers and provide creative support to the account managers whilst ensuring we adhere to all industry regulations and guidelines.</p>
<p><strong>As an individual, you’ll need:</strong></p>
<p><strong>Essential:</strong></p>
<p>·       PC literate (our client only work on PC’s)<br />
·       Excellent working knowledge of Adobe CS5 Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Professional, and Dreamweaver<br />
·       Good working knowledge of front end web design / interface development: The ability to create, edit and problem solve basic HTML and CSS using Dreamweaver<br />
·       Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook</p>
<p><strong>Plus:</strong></p>
<p>·       Good degree Graphic Design or similar subject<br />
·       2 – 3 years solid work experience in a busy agency environment<br />
·       An ability to produce creative designs from concept through to mock-ups and artwork to print ready standards<br />
·       An understanding of print and digital production processes, including best practices<br />
·       Strong design, artworking and typographic skills<br />
·       Great attention to detail<br />
·       Excellent communication skills<br />
·       Good time management and organisational skills<br />
·       Driver essential – the office is an easy commute from Bristol as the office is just over the bridge! (20mins).</p>

They are creating a new position within their e-commerce team and are looking to recruit an Online Acquisition Executive to support their current Acquisition Manager.</p>
<p>You’ll need to have your own transport due to the slightly rural location of their offices on the outskirts of Bath (Wiltshire side). They offer free parking and excellent staff benefits. This position is due to commence May/June 2012.</p>
<p>Main Purpose of the role:<br />
To support the Online Acquisition Manager in the cost effective acquisition of relevant new customers to the company’s online channels through development and analysis of online marketing.</p>
<p>To take the lead in creating, managing and optimising Paid Search campaigns to deliver cost effective traffic and sales to the company’s online channels, delivering efficiencies and maximising opportunities in this medium.</p>
<p>To support the Online Acquisition Manager and work with external agencies to deliver cost effective campaigns in other online marketing mediums as required, such as Organic Search, Display Advertising, Affiliate marketing, and Social Media.</p>
<p>Key Tasks &#8211; Paid Search:</p>
<p>•    Create, manage and optimise Paid Search campaigns utilising relevant tools such as Google Adwords, Microsoft Ad centre, Google Analytics and Coremetrics Analytics.<br />
•    Assist in the transition of Paid Search accounts from external agency to in-house management.<br />
•    Create, maintain and optimise Paid Search campaigns, in consultation with the Online Acquisition Manager.<br />
•    Take responsibility for the ongoing maintenance and optimisation of Paid Search campaigns.<br />
•    Manage Paid Search budgeted within search engines to CPA targets.<br />
•    Keep up to date with and ensure best practice and current Paid Search techniques are followed.<br />
•    Provide recommendations for the improvement of Paid Search campaigns.<br />
•    Regularly review and take appropriate action on competitor activity.<br />
•    Ensuring Paid Search activity is correctly set up and tagged to provide reporting through web analytics.<br />
•    Work with the E-commerce Analyst to provide reporting and analysis of Paid Search campaigns.</p>
<p>Key Tasks &#8211; Other Online Marketing:</p>
<p>•    Work with the Online Acquisition Manager and external suppliers on the implementation and management of SEO strategy.<br />
•    Maintain rigorous and detailed reporting on organic traffic and rankings.<br />
•    Work with the Online Acquisition Manager on keyword research and on-page optimisation.<br />
•    Support the Online Acquisition Manager in all areas of online marketing as required, and manage activity in their absence.<br />
•    Support the Online Acquisition Manager in creation of strategies and plans for online marketing.<br />
•    Assist in the creation of processes and procedures for the effective management of online marketing activities.<br />
•    Assist in the sourcing of any supporting content, design work or web functionality that is required to support online marketing activities.<br />
•    Utilise online analytics tools including Coremetrics to report on and analyse key metrics and business KPIs related to online acquisition.<br />
•    Develop and nurture good working relationships with external suppliers.<br />
•    Produce ad hoc reporting as required.<br />
•    Assist Online Acquisition Manager with setting and managing marketing budgets.</p>
<p>Person Specification – skills, personality, experience:</p>
<p>Essential<br />
•    Previous experience of managing profitable Paid Search campaigns either in a client-side or agency role.<br />
•    Thorough understanding of online marketing techniques and the principles of E-commerce.<br />
•    Experience with Online Analytics tools and the principles and measurement of KPIs.<br />
•    Excellent organisational and planning skills.<br />
•    An understanding of SEO techniques and processes.<br />
•    The ability to work to deadlines in a fast paced environment.<br />
•    Ability to work independently and as a team player.</p>
<p>Desirable:<br />
•    Adwords qualified.<br />
•    Experience of using Microsoft ad centre.<br />
•    Exposure to the retail or fashion industry.<br />
